Pinterest Images that i like to do with Phobia.

Use body glue to have some snakes extend down face and neck: When i look at this the hair reminds me of snakes and i choose it, because of that and how that is a phobia and also how it can surround you. I really like the photo, as it is a beauty editorial shoot, but is made to be unusual by the hair.

Paco Peregrin - Beautiful Monster:

The reason i looked at this is, because i liked the way the make up was underneath and the cloth covered it and i wanted to show the way of no escape from it and the makeup is over the top, and i think the colour makes it stand out more. I like how the photograph is taken so you can just see the head a another thing that makes it strange. The more i look at it the cloth at the top reminds me of hair, and the fact you can see the makeup underneath and it is messy, which i think shows the way of it surrounding you and you can't do anything to change it and you have to deal with it everyday.

Christopher McKenney - Work:

I chose this as one of the images that i like, as it shows the texture of the plastic against the face, but i think it is quite creepy, as it looks like blood covering the face, as though they are trying to escape, but can't.

Really cool macabre art. Artist is from PA. Conceptual Photographer: Christopher McKenney:

What i like about this is that it is unusual and it made me think of the texture and how it would make you feel, but the way that it is just a face and nothing else, the way the material is covering them. When i look at it, it makes me feel uneasy as you don't know what is happening and it doesn't seem to be a whole person.

Phobia Sensations

What iam researching is about the phobia, but with sensations and how different textures or feelings can make you feel uncomfortable, to make it less figurative. Some of these i have found that people have anxiety or even feel sick when feeling or hearing these textures. Even some of these i would admit that they make me uncomfortable to think about or to feel.

Velvet is a texture that some people can find difficult or uncomfortable to touch, can even be a phobia.

A balloon that you can you can make a noise by rubbing it to make a squeaky sound.

Nails on a chalk board or even chalk.

Cotton wool.

Sand.

Lotus seed pod.

Seams.

Cracks.

Undersides of Mushrooms.

VOGUE-Fashion Editorial Shoot-Petal Pushers Video

A 3 part video on youtube from Vogue, about a fashion editoral shoot called Flower Power and it is about how they go about organising it and what they have to do.

It is behind the scenes of a shoot and i think that it is really interesting to watch of how the shoots work, finding models and talking about the idea of the shoot.Seeing how they do it, you realise how long and how much time you need to do this and what would look the best, as not always something goes right. Post shoot, they have to look at the photographs and what will make it into the magazine issue, which they did, in the March 2014 issue.

More images that represent what Phobia would look like.

I think that this image represents, something you fear, but also being pulled down by it and trying to escape, but it not making any difference, so you feel alone. I like how it looks this way and really makes sense to me, as it is something i fear, and i think the hands trying to grab him really shows being surrounded and not knowing what to do.

When the clerk at UPS shrink-wrapped the evil spirit for shipping he didn't expect this kind of resistance.

I have looked at images that are black and white and it shows the atmosphere, especially this one, with the plastic over her, as though she is trying to escape, but can't breath, but no matter what she does, she can't escape.

MARCEL VAN DER VLUGT’S PHOTOGRAPHS:

Marcel van der Vlugt,

A photographer who focuses on the face and covers them with materials, and i think that they work and are interesting as they are weird, unusual things.

I have chosen this one as it looks as though it is surrounding her and she is trying to hide behind still though.

Bart Hess Slime Outfit - Photos, Videos, Links / Coolspotters:

This again was not being able to escape, but i like the idea of a physical object stopping you from doing anything, and that it is clear, so you can see through it and the person can see out of it, so they feel even worse and that i think shows the mentally feeling of a fear where you try to hide it.

 :

The texture that make you uncomfortable could be a phobia to look at and i have chosen this as it looks like it is part of the face and can't get rid of it, as though can't escape. I like how it is plain and blends in with the background, but is unusual how it is all put together, to make it.

Black and white Marble:

Looking at sensations that you would not want to touch, but I'm looking more at the way it looks, then the texture. But i have chosen it as it is marble and wanted to show the feeling of being surrounded.

Lichen:

Again i was looking at the textures of what could make you uncomfortable to touch and look at, but wanted to look at more colours then just dark colours, as i have visualised phobia to be dark, creepy images to show how it would make you feel.

Feedback and my thoughts on the moodboard presentation for my word

This is one of the feedback sheets for my moodboard presentation and they have written what they thought stood out and what else i could do to expand on or adapt.

I think it went well and had good feedback of where i could go with it.

I do want to expand on my idea of sensations and or how you could do it without using such dark colours, than what was on the moodboard, i could even look at textures that make you feel uneasy.

I like that we were given feedback this way, so you can even hear what ideas you're peers have come up with that you haven't thought of and shows what you could adapt on the next time.

My word is Phobia

I have looked at the word its self and thought about from there how it could interpreted, but not to be used in the literal sense.

I have produced a mood board that shows phobia, but what i wanted to show is the dark shapes and shadows that represent it, but not in a literal sense, but what it could look like if was on the body. Like as if you would not be able to escape it.

I have looked at the images and they are very dark colours and they are represented that way, Because it is like there is no escape and you are surrounded, but i have focused on the face and how it would look, as though you can't keep it in and are trying to hide from it.

I have written down a list of how phobia could be used:

Phobia

Persistant
Alone
Dark
Trapped
Shadows
Escape
Surrounded
