Hair Ideas to do with phobia

Messy Plaits Wrapped Around Head- SEAWEED:
I have looked hair that i think has to do with phobia, so i think that it would look like this, with plaits, as though you are trying to hide yourself and it is surrounding you, it being messy makes it seem you want to let go of it all.

Fluffy curls with a plaited headband - see more here: http://www.hji.co.uk/image/Alexander-Turnbull-BHA-NE7-qhs31633.html:

I want the messy as i thought it would work with the word phobia, as it looks as though you are trying to hide away from something.

Most of these hairstyle are crazy and will not be that simple to create, unless you knew what you were doing. I like the first image the best, as it is colourful, and even more when it is in plaits and messy. The reason i have chosen these is because they stand out and i think they relate to the word. When creating my idea i don't want the hair to be as crazy, but i think showing these, are just what i liked and stood out to me.

Website with images related to phobia.

A website i found that has photography about fears and phobias, and i thought it was interesting to look at ways other people see phobia, and i thought it related to my project, i even used a image from there for my mood board for this project.

1950s make up look.

I have looked at different styles of 1950s makeup, these images are more modern though, but i want to do this as i think it works just as well, and even has taken inspiration from that, but now we have more makeup options. The make up is flawless and you know the style straight away when you look at it. I notice they have all red lips, as that was the style, and i want the lips on my model to have red lipgloss, so that it stands out and is slightly shiny.

This is how 1950s make up looked and what they used, it wasn't a lot of makeup, but the lips were always a red, pink colour, which is what makes it stand out most of all against the skin. i notice the mascara is very think and make the top eyelashes stand out and make the eyes bigger. I like how it shows the way it was created, makes it really useful to know and if you want to do it yourself.

I was just looking at the lips, because i want to use that on mine and it to look glossy. The close up of this is interesting, as i like the pose, as it just shows half of the face and is different than the usual photo shoot. To me it looks very professional and is like it is for a designer brand.

I was looking at pin up hair and how i might want it to look when it comes to the photoshoot. I like this pin up look and it is a modern version, but i always think they are interesting and have the same aspects from the real era and some that are used today.

1950s hair style

Miss Victory Violet:

Looking at various hair styles of what i could create, some of them are difficult to create, with different ways of shaping the hair and making sure the style is in the right place. The one i like the most is the blonde hair with the curls, as i think it is simple and not over the top, but show the 50s style with the pin up style at the same time, and i want to inspire the hair on my design on that one. The other i like is the one with the red hair, as the curl is simple, but you know the style straight away when you look at it, the soft curls are nice, but i would do the curl a lot thicker at the ends and more of them.

Storyboard images.

Think about composition, Lighting, Set up, poses.

Shown how the studio is set up for a editorial shoots.

These were my first storyboard images that i looked at and they show the black makeup and how i was trying to relate it to the key word Phobia.
Glam Makeup Inspiration: Front cover idea - close up - noticeable makeup - dark background to stand out. I absolutely love this, I have to try this out.:

Hannah Marshall by Rankin, photography, model, pose, fashion, hair, beauty, editorial.:
I have looked at a few poses that relate to what i want to do, and how it would go with Tom Ford, but all the images didnt match to show how the final images would look, so i changed it and researched other ways of creating that look.

Mystic Black | Photographer: Julia Saller | Model: Lenka Hanakova:

These two images i was looking was the messy makeup and how i could put that into my idea. I think these images stand out, but might not be right for how i want to show the brand and the key word.

3 images i like of editorial photoshoot

The lighting for these was i wanted them to be bright and so i set up lighting on both sides, so they were directly on the model. the one i like the most out of all of these is the first one as it stands out to me, because it shows the makeup and the highlight on the cheeks. i have chosen these 3 as my final images, as they show all different poses and different angles.

I do need to edit some of them,as they need to be cropped and even enhance the light more and show it to be a lot brighter and i want to create a effect so that it goes with the era of the photo shoot.I didnt use a sync lead for this though, as i didnt need the flash, as the two lights on either sides worked really well.

The make up is:
Aqua Liquid Eyeliner
Matte Primer
Illamasqua skin base Foundation
Kryolan Glamour Glow palette
Red lip g

3 images like of Tom Ford photo shoot

These are the three images that i have chosen, as i like the best, i think that they all stand out and show what i wanted to. I didnt want the make up to be to over the top, but i did want to show the black lips and eyes,to relate to noir colour.

I think this one is the best out of all of them,as the pose i think is relating to the brand, i didn't want the lighting to be to harsh and not to shadowy, as wouldnt see the make up as much. I only photographed the head down to the shoulders, as for the advertisement, i wanted to focus onto the face.

These two slightly look the same, but i wanted to see the way the shadow would be on the face. The reason they are two of the three i like, is because the poses, are the best that were done,as the others i felt as though they didnt show the right angles.

Lighting-Tom Ford

For the lighting i wanted something slightly darker, but still shows the face and i didnt want it bright, as that is not how i wanted to relate it to Tom Ford, when setting it up i only wanted one light and a beauty bulb on to it, so it didnt have a warm tone to it, and using flash, made it a lot whiter.

When using one light though it did have a shadow over one side of the face, so i moved the light further back more towards the camera.

I really like the way the image shows the light to be a lot darker, but still have a white tone to it, because of the flash, but i think if i did it again i would make the pose stand out and relate more to Tom Ford.

Tom Ford beauty Brand-Noir

I have changed my idea and for the Tom Ford brand i want to use a noir theme, as the my word is phobia, and i want to include the poses and theme that Tom Ford does, so the makeup, will be black lips and and eyes, with a white shirt, which is inspired by the suit themes that he does. I want the hair to be a sleek ponytail to have the hair out of the face and be seductive.

The lighting will be like noir lighting in movie, they are black and white, but i do want this to be in colour.

Beauty Brand-Tom Ford

Tom ford is a brand were he started out working at YSL, then on to gucci in 1990, as a creative designer and from then on in 2004 he left to form his own company, which is known as Tom Ford.

I'am thinking what i will want the shoot to be based on my doing the photo shoot, and it looks seductive and shows Tom Ford well. The poses is what i want to look at more and what the model would be wearing.

When looking at what she should wear i was thinking, as my word is phobia, when it surrounds you, i like the thought of a white sheer dress or sheet to cover the body, to make it inspired by a image i found of a photo shoot, where the cloth was placed of them, as though they were trying to hide and thats what i want want to represent it in that way.

I have looked at the makeup jsut being the eyelashes and so they are long, that it looks like there is more makeup than there is. I like what the model is wearing and shows it quite seductive and what other clothing i could think about what they would wear.

1950s Makeup

In the 50s era some of the make up was not available, as it was the end of the war and the rationing had just ended, so Max factor was the first to introduce makeup at that time, such as powder and concealer. That even when Avon started and they would come to your door and sell these products to you.

The makeup that was worn looked classy, elegant and very strong, such as the lips would be very bright and the eyes had eyshadow that were very soft colours, but also various ones, such as golds, blues, greens and purple, and they were pastel, but eyeliner was applied to, which was dark and created definition on the eyes. The brows were fine and pencilled in to create shape, but became softer than it did at the beginning of the 50s. So it was all about glamour.

More about the foundation, was it came in all forms, liquid, cream and cake, so they were really popular. The eyeliner would be on used, with a outward flick, using pencils and they came in all types of colours to use.In lipstick red was the most prodominent colour of that era, but other colours were introduced, such as pinks and oranges, and as we know lipliners, to outline the lip, before applying the lipstick.Roude wasnt used that much, but they were subtle colours, like pinks.

My own editorial photoshoot

I'am interested in doing a vintage shoot, like the 1950s, as it is what i like and have always been fascinated by that era.

The makeup i would use, i want it simple, but showing the 50s of how i see it. I want to have the 5os hair and show the pin up sort of woman and these are the poses i want to achieve int he photoshoot and show how they would have looked in that era, the poses are very feminine, as are the colours. The make up is minimal, but the lips are bright colours, such as different shades of red, the eyes, eyeliner around the eyes with a flick.I want to show it in a feminine way like these, and want to relate to them, as these are original images from that era.

Pinterest Images that i like to do with Phobia.

Use body glue to have some snakes extend down face and neck: When i look at this the hair reminds me of snakes and i choose it, because of that and how that is a phobia and also how it can surround you. I really like the photo, as it is a beauty editorial shoot, but is made to be unusual by the hair.

Paco Peregrin - Beautiful Monster:

The reason i looked at this is, because i liked the way the make up was underneath and the cloth covered it and i wanted to show the way of no escape from it and the makeup is over the top, and i think the colour makes it stand out more. I like how the photograph is taken so you can just see the head a another thing that makes it strange. The more i look at it the cloth at the top reminds me of hair, and the fact you can see the makeup underneath and it is messy, which i think shows the way of it surrounding you and you can't do anything to change it and you have to deal with it everyday.

Christopher McKenney - Work:

I chose this as one of the images that i like, as it shows the texture of the plastic against the face, but i think it is quite creepy, as it looks like blood covering the face, as though they are trying to escape, but can't.

Really cool macabre art. Artist is from PA. Conceptual Photographer: Christopher McKenney:

What i like about this is that it is unusual and it made me think of the texture and how it would make you feel, but the way that it is just a face and nothing else, the way the material is covering them. When i look at it, it makes me feel uneasy as you don't know what is happening and it doesn't seem to be a whole person.

Phobia Sensations

What iam researching is about the phobia, but with sensations and how different textures or feelings can make you feel uncomfortable, to make it less figurative. Some of these i have found that people have anxiety or even feel sick when feeling or hearing these textures. Even some of these i would admit that they make me uncomfortable to think about or to feel.

Velvet is a texture that some people can find difficult or uncomfortable to touch, can even be a phobia.

A balloon that you can you can make a noise by rubbing it to make a squeaky sound.

Nails on a chalk board or even chalk.

Cotton wool.

Sand.

Lotus seed pod.

Seams.

Cracks.
